What Messages Are Sent

Our SMS program sends the following types of system notifications:

System Alerts

Critical system status notifications such as database issues, service outages, or performance warnings.

Error Notifications

Automated alerts when errors are detected in payroll processing, bank feeds, or other critical modules.

Support Ticket Updates

Notifications when support tickets are assigned, updated, or require immediate attention.

One-Time Passwords

Secure verification codes for multi-factor authentication when logging into the platform.

Payroll Confirmations

Batch completion notifications with employee count and totals after payroll processing.

Backup Confirmations

Nightly backup status confirmations and database health reports.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on system events. High-priority alerts (system outages, security issues) are sent immediately regardless of time. Routine notifications (backup confirmations, payroll completions) are sent during business hours, typically 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM in your company's configured timezone. On average, most users receive fewer than 10 messages per week.

How to Opt In

Your company administrator registers your phone number in the ICommand Bookkeeping platform under Settings > Notifications.

You will then receive an SMS invitation message. You must reply YES to confirm and opt in.

Opt-in keywords: YES, START

How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us.

You will receive a confirmation: "You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."

Opt-out keywords: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT
